GTA 6 Pre-Order Guide: Every Edition, Price, and Bonus (2026)
Rockstar confirmed two versions of GTA 6: the Standard Edition at $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition at $99.99, both open for pre-order now ahead of the November 19, 2026 launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. There's also a free bonus — the Vintage Vice City Pack — for anyone who buys the game before November 20, 2026. Here's exactly what each edition gives you, what's still fuzzy, and which one is actually worth your money.
What's confirmed
Straight from Rockstar's own pre-order announcement (June 24, 2026):
- Two editions. Standard Edition ($79.99) and Ultimate Edition ($99.99).
- Pre-orders opened June 25, 2026. The game releases November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
- The Vintage Vice City Pack is included for anyone who pre-orders or buys before November 20, 2026 — so it's a launch-window bonus, not strictly a pre-order-only reward.
- What the Ultimate Edition adds, in Rockstar's own words: "an exclusive collection of premium vehicles, weapons, apparel, and action threaded across all aspects" of the game. That's the official line — the specific item-by-item list below comes from press coverage, not a Rockstar checklist, so we're labeling it separately.
- Physical copies ship without a disc. Both editions' boxed versions contain a download code only. If you buy physical, you're still downloading the whole game. (We break this down in our no-disc explainer.)
What's reported
These details come from gaming press covering the pre-order pages, not directly from a Rockstar feature list — so treat them as reported, and expect the exact wording or counts to shift:
- Vintage Vice City Pack contents: a retro Jason outfit, a matching Lucia outfit, and a classic '55 Vapid Stanier vehicle.
- Ultimate Edition extras: several exclusive vehicles (the '95 Grotti Cheetah, Shitzu Squalo, and '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy have been named), personalized weapon variants, exclusive apparel and tattoos, a set of Ultimate-only shops (reported names include Rideout Customs, Sara's Unisex Salon, Stock 305, Electric Fang Tattoo, and One-Eyed Willie's), a dedicated garage, and at least one side mission Standard players won't get at launch.
Outlets don't fully agree on the exact number of vehicles or shops, which is exactly why we're not stating a hard count. When Rockstar publishes the definitive breakdown, we'll update this and log it on our Scorecard.
What it means for you
Get the Standard Edition if you mainly want the full game and story. You're not missing any core content — the Ultimate extras are largely cosmetic items, extra vehicles, some shops, and a side mission. The base experience is identical.
Consider the Ultimate Edition if you're the type who buys every cosmetic pack anyway, and the extra $20 for launch-day vehicles and shops feels worth it to you. It's a convenience-and-flair upgrade, not a "you'll be locked out of the real game" situation.
Whatever you pick, buy before November 20, 2026 to lock in the free Vintage Vice City Pack.
One honest note: if you're buying a physical copy hoping for a collectible disc, that doesn't exist here. Every version is a download.
What would change this answer
- Rockstar announcing a Collector's Edition or any physical extras (nothing confirmed yet).
- An official upgrade path from Standard to Ultimate — Rockstar hasn't detailed one as of July 2026, so don't count on buying up later.
- Any change to the Vintage Vice City Pack deadline or its contents.
- Regional pricing differences outside the US.
We'll update this page the moment any of those move.
